MoComCon 2nd Annual Comic Convention

Montgomery County Public Libraries is getting ready to host its second comic convention, MoComCon, on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 11 am–4 pm. The event will be held at the Silver Spring Library, located at 900 Wayne Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910. This event is open and accessible to all. The event will include a variety of panels, workshops, programs, displays, exhibits, and cosplay for attendees of all ages — all free of charge.

Join in the fun of MoComCon before it starts by entering the MoComCon art contest! Draw or paint your favorite character from any fandom, book, television show or movie, or invent your own original character. To enter, fill out the entry form at any branch or download it from the MoComCon website (link below) and drop it off with your artwork at any MCPL branch through 4 pm, Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Artwork will be displayed at the Silver Spring branch for the month of January. Prizes will be awarded at MoComCon for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in three categories: grades K-5, grades 6-12, and adults 18+. Preschoolers may complete and submit a coloring sheet for display only. All are eligible to enter, limit one entry per person, all content must be suitable for a family environment.
