OMG Supported Energy Exploration Event — Kensington Library
Saturday, October 14th • 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Kensington Park Library, 4201 Knowles Ave, Kensington, MD 20895
One Montgomery Green will be there to share what we are doing in the community — stop by and say hi!
National Energy Action Month takes place every October and to commemorate this event, the Department of Environmental Protection partnered with the Department of General Services, County Libraries, and Pepco to bring Energy Exploration events to 5 libraries across the County! Though the month is over, you can still learn about how to save energy in your home through these quick tips:
- Energy Efficient Appliances
- Weatherizing Your Home
- Switching to LEDs and Lighting
- Saving Water, Energy and Money
- Heating and Cooling Your Home
- How the County Saves Energy in Public Buildings
These events are a collaboration between the Departments of Environmental Protection, General Services, and Library Services in which residents of all ages can participate in hands-on life-sized activities to learn about saving energy and money in their homes.
ATTENTION: PEPCO CUSTOMERS
Bring your old working room air conditioners and dehumidifiers to recycle and receive a maximum of $50 by mail for up to 2 units.
Questions or comments about these events can be sent to energy@montgomerycountymd.gov. We hope to see you there!
