DESCRIPTION:Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital \nMarch 14-24\, 2019 \nThe Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital is the world’s premier showcase of environmentally themed films. Since 1993 our mission has been to celebrate Earth and inspire understanding and stewardship of the environment through the power of film. \nEach March in Washington DC\, we present 100+ films to audiences throughout the city. Filmmaker and topical discussions are an important part of our events which happen at museums\, embassies\, libraries\, universities and local theaters throughout the city. We also present a year-round screening series and community events. \nMany of our screenings are free\, and our Washington\, DC location offers the unique opportunity for films and filmmakers to reach national and international lawmakers and decision-makers. DESCRIPTION:Bird Walk at Cash Lake at Patuxent Research Refuge \nNational Wildlife Visitors Center at Patuxent Research Refuge \nSaturday\, March 16  •  8 am – 10 am \nAges 5+\, registration required \nPlease join us at South Tract for a two mile leisurely bird walk around Cash Lake searching for and identifying multiple species of birds. Walk is weather dependent and begins at the visitor center. At the conclusion of the program participants will review the refuge’s bird check list. Water bottle and binoculars are recommended.
