SUMMARY:Faithful Green Leaders Training (Lower County)
DESCRIPTION:Faithful Green Leaders Training (Lower County) \nSunday\, July 12  • 10 am – 4:30 pm \nAdat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation\, 7727 Persimmon Tree Lane\, Bethesda\, MD 20817 \nJoin us for our Faithful Green Leaders Training\, a free one-day session\, followed by a series of monthly Green Team Learning Lab webinars. \n\nThe training is offered two times:  July 12th (Lower County) and September 12th (Upper County). To register please go to the link. I am hopeful that your “Green Team”  will have at least 2-3 persons!  \nI think any congregation will really flourish after they work on an action plan.  \n\n\n\nIn training your Green Team will identify “their environmental story” as it relates to them and the congregation.\n\n\nAction plan projects range from something small like a recycling effort or rain barrel installation to something larger like getting help with installing permeable sidewalks/driveways\, a rain garden and/or landscaping to control run-off.\n\n\nThe Green Team can even save on energy by investigating solar panel usage with our partner organization Interfaith Power & Light.\nIt all starts with your Green Teams one-day training which will provide them with a Faithful Green Leaders Handbook to help guide them through the process as their action plan develops. \n\nClick here to download the flyer to share with others in your congregation.  \n\n\nClick here to learn more about the training if you or any congregation members are interested. \nThanks and continue to bless and protect the earth!  Please feel free to pass along this information to anyone else that might be interested! \n\n**All attendees must come with at least 2 other people from their congregation\, because there is no such thing as “a team of 1.”\nIf you need help building your green team\, go here to find some helpful resources. \nSee flyer here for more information.  Questions? Email: GreenTeams@InterfaithChesapeake.org or call: 410-609-6852. \n
