SUMMARY:Tackling Fossilflation: A Toolkit or Price Stability and a Just Transition
DESCRIPTION:Our friends at Positive Money US are excited to announce the launch of their first report “Tackling Fossilflation: A Toolkit for Price Stability and a Just Transition” at a virtual event on December 6th. The report gives new solutions to tackling inflation that put the needs of workers and families first\, and help us achieve a just and green transition. \nJoin Positive Money for a rich discussion and audience Q&A with an incredible line-up of speakers. Register here to get the Zoom link\, and you can submit a question for the panel\, too. \n \nMany of us have been hit by rising prices over the last year. Black and brown communities\, and low-income families are hurting the most. The Fed and the government say the best way to get prices under control is to raise interest rates. But this hurts working communities even more. \nJoin Positive Money US for an exciting panel discussion and audience Q&A with an incredible line-up of speakers.

SUMMARY:ANS October 2022 Conservation Café: America the Beautiful for All
DESCRIPTION:This Hispanic Heritage Month\, ANS is joining with the America the Beautiful For All campaign to highlight the importance of both conservation and access to public lands. \nJoin me on Wednesday\, October 19\, 7-8:30 pm to hear from Mariana Del Valle Prieto Cervantes\, Director of Strategic Initiatives at GreenLatinos. \nWe’ll learn about this powerful new coalition that reflects the diversity of America and centers the voices of people of color working to conserve 30% of our public lands\, waters\, and ocean by 2030. The political power necessary to accomplish the twin goals of conservation and environmental justice rests entirely on our ability to shift power\, grow\, and cultivate a united environmental community that truly represents America. We are stronger and more effective when we work together. \n \nThe America the Beautiful for All Coalition’s Twin Goals:  \n\nConserve at least 30% of land\, water\, and ocean by 2030 to avoid massive species loss\, secure equitable access to nature’s benefits\, and prevent and repair the impacts of the climate crisis for all communities. \nImplement a Justice40 metric for the America the Beautiful Initiative to ensure at least 40% of investments are made in communities of color and frontline communities that have historically seen little to no investment in conservation and equitable access to nature. \n\nVIRTUAL. Tickets $10-$15. \nEmail eliza.cava@anshome.org for complimentary tickets if needed. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
