DESCRIPTION:Weed Warrior Workday at Bullis Local Park\nMeet at the bleachers along Easley Street\nSaturday\, March 28\, 2026\n10:00AM – 12:00PM\nSave the trees and protect the Sligo Creek watershed\nJoin Weed Warrior Supervisor Alexander for a non-native\, invasive plant removal workday at Bullis Local Park in Silver Spring. Plan to meet at the bleachers on Easley Street. \nWe will focus on non-native\, invasive vines\, including porcelainberry (Ampelopsis glandulosa var. brevipedunculata)\, wintercreeper (Euonymus fortunei)\, and English ivy (Hedera helix). Native Virginia creeper and poison ivy are also present and beneficial\, so we will avoid those. \nPlease wear long pants that cover your ankles\, tall socks\, long sleeves\, and sturdy\, closed-toed shoes. Bring gloves\, pruners\, small folding hand saws and/or loppers if you have them. Gloves and tools are available to borrow if you don’t have your own. No power tools or machetes allowed.
