Through food\, Music\, dance\, art\, and more\, the festival is a celebration of the vibrant cultures and traditions that makes our county diverse. \nWhat Is Hispanic Heritage Month?\nFrom September 15 to October 15\, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month\, a time to celebrate the heritage\, history\, traditions\, and cultural diversity of Hispanic Americans. Started in 1968 under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan. It was enacted into law on August 17\, 1988. Over 20.5% of Montgomery County’s population are individuals of Latino or Hispanic origin (as of 2020). Montgomery County has the largest Hispanic population in Maryland.
