David Gershon is one of the world’s foremost experts in empowerment and transformative social change. Over the past 30 years he has developed programs and strategies that have empowered millions of people worldwide to reduce their carbon and overall environmental footprint and hundreds of cities to become more sustainable. Rezwan Razani is a writer, planner, game designer and the founder of Footprint to Wings (FP2W), an organization dedicated to turning the “Race to Zero Carbon” into a national pastime. We see the climate crisis as not so much a science communicationproblem, but rather a solutions negotiation problem. Powered by a Constellation E2 Energy to Educate grant, FP2W has recently joined forces with the Student Global Ambassador Program (SGAP Leaders) and Catholic University of America (CUA) to close the “knowledge-action gap” in climate solutions among underserved youth. Rezwan will speak about how to move up and down the solution scale to make sure solutions connect and add up; and to clarify the gaps and conflicts when they don’t.
