November 6, 2019 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am
Attend this Wednesday’s Climate Action Coffee — topic: ‘Building Equity and Promoting Drawdown in our Regional Food Systems’ — and read on for info on the TPM Book Group, the next Diversity Brunch, and canvassing in Pennsylvania.
Climate Action Coffee, Nov 6
The next weekly Climate Action Coffee takes place Wednesday, November 6, 7:30 am-9 am at Busboys and Poets, Takoma, 235 Carroll St NW, Washington DC.
Please join us for a discussion on ‘Building Equity and Promoting Drawdown in our Regional Food Systems’. Climate activists, legislators, small farmer advocates, cooperative grocery stores and other food system leaders will come together to highlight the importance of strengthening our regional food system and to determine where activists can step up to further the urgent work already underway.
We will be joined by Maryland Del. Lorig Charkoudian; Heather Bruskin, Montgomery County Food Council; Caroline Taylor, Montgomery Countryside Alliance; Philip Bogdonoff, Biodiversity for a Livable Climate; and other food systems leaders in our region.
TPSS Co-op is joining Busboys and Poets and the Takoma Alliance for Local Living Economy(TALLE/Takoma Park Mobilization), to co-host the Climate Action Coffee series for the month of November.
Busboys and Poets’ full service breakfast menu will be available, as well as complimentary Fair Trade coffee. We encourage anyone who is able to continue the conversation following the program, as Busboys and Poets generously invites us to remain there if we choose.
Please share this invitation with people or groups interested in working to strengthen our regional food system! RSVP on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/2536864976380836/?event_time_id=2536864983047502
