Rick Mittler is the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s (CBF) Virginia Student Leadership Coordinator. In this role he educates and engages high school students from across Chesapeake Bay Watershed in support of clean water, clean air, and healthy communities. Prior to his current role, Rick managed two other environmental education programs at CBF, was an educator with the Blue Sky Fund, led Youth Conservation Corps crews, and taught environmental education in schools across western Massachusetts through AmeriCorps and the Student Conservation Association. He earned a degree in Geography with a minor in Natural Resources Recreation from Virginia Tech in 2011 and currently calls Richmond, VA home. Outside of work, Rick serves as the Chair-Elect for the Virginia Association for Environmental Education Board, is an avid disc golfer, and aspiring whitewater canoeist.
