Cricket song is the soundtrack of late summer evenings. Learn how to distinguish the calls of eight different species and how to become a community scientist tracking these fascinating insects during the upcoming Cricket Crawl. Register Online.
*Cathy Stragar organizes the Cricket Crawl citizen science project in the DC area. An entomologist by training, she is the plant lab and greenhouse manager at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, where she focuses on pest insect species. She also teaches Insect Life in ANS’s Natural History Field Studies program.
