Patricia Welty, Executive Director of A Vegan Life, will talk about why elephant populations are declining, and their role as a keystone species that heavily influences other wildlife and habitats. Learn about efforts to help elephants in Africa, including Patricia’s Appalachian Trail hike fundraiser. Patricia will discuss how CITES (The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) has let elephants down and what can WE do to help them.
