Biodiversity, Conservation Science, and Climate Change – GCSE 2022 Annual Conference
June 21-24, 2022
The Global Council for Science and the Environment (GCSE) is holding a major sustainability event on June 21-24.
The theme of their 2022 Annual Conference is Biodiversity, Conservation Science, and Climate Change. This conference aims to identify successful and sustainable conservation strategies to accelerate the pursuit and implementation of science- and evidence-based solutions, to help preserve global biodiversity for current and future generations of our planet.
The GCSE is also making a point to address the inherently socio-political and economic aspects of conservation strategies, keeping in mind the importance of partnering with Indigenous peoples and local communities.
Featured speakers include top experts from the United Nations, international governments, think tanks, plus iconic environmental activists like Paul Ehrlich and Jane Goodall and more. The conference will honor the legacy of Thomas Lovejoy, who made long standing, seminal contributions to the study of biodiversity, conservation biology and climate change.
