“Bird Walk” Film Screening on June 12 at Reservoir Center for Water Solutions in D.C.

You are invited to a free public screening of the documentary “Bird Walk” on Thursday, June 12 at 6 p.m. at the Reservoir Center for Water Solutions in Washington, D.C.  Discover how a defunct golf course became an avian oasis and learn about the grassroots campaign that helped preserve the 131-acre site as a public park.

Filmmaker Cintia Cabib will be joined by Trey Sherard, Riverkeeper at Anacostia Riverkeeper, for a post-film discussion.  Trey will discuss his organization’s mission to protect and restore the Anacostia watershed and describe the numerous bird species that can be found along Anacostia Riverkeeper’s birding boat tours.
