DC EcoWomen Book Discussion: Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World

February 1, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Join DC EcoWomen in a discussion of Katherine Hayhoe’s “Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World”

This book is a follow-up to her 2018 Ted Talk ‘The most important thing you can do to fight climate change: talk about it’, and her goal in writing the book is “to show you how to have conversations that will help you to reconnect with friends and family in real life, building genuine relationships and communities rather than tribes and bubbles.”

There will be an in-person discussion on Saturday, January 28 from 12-2pm in the Kogod Courtyard at the National Portrait Gallery and a virtual discussion on Wednesday, February 1 from 7:30-9pm. Join us for one or both conversations. There is one registration link and those who register will be asked, in the weeks prior to the events, to indicate whether they will attend in person or virtually.

DC EcoWomen events are open to women and those who identify as women, including members of the LGBTQ community and gender-fluid individuals.

Extra seats have been added.
