Ever wonder what the County is planning to do about expanding composting, especially for food scraps?
If so, come to the next meeting of the Montgomery County Food Council Environmental Impact Working Group (EIWG). On Wednesday, March 6, 10:30 am –12:30 pm, the EIWG will host Eileen Kao, Chief of the Waste Reduction and Recycling Section at the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Eileen will share an update on the progress that DEP has made on implementing the recommendations of the Strategic Plan to Advance Composting and Compost Use in Montgomery County
