The 2019 Montgomery Parks’ sponsored Food Matters speaker series offers two presentations that highlight the ways that food matters in our community. The July 26, 2019 session of Food Matters focuses on food rescue and recovery to address issues which continue to impact residents of Montgomery County and the metropolitan region.

Join Montgomery Parks for Food Matters: Food Recovery and Community Impact featuring Cheryl Kollin, Program Director for Community Food Rescue. She will talk about food recovery as a way to alleviate hunger in Montgomery County and decrease food waste at the landfill.

Food Matters is an informative speaker series, sponsored by Montgomery Parks, that features storytelling of farmers, educators, chefs, community organizers, business professionals and food lovers. It is an opportunity for community members to engage with experts of the regional food system. This series is open to the public and is a free event.
