How Do Animals Stay Warm in the Winter? @ Patuxent National Wildlife Visitor Center

February 23, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Family Fun: Staying Warm in Winter

Friday, February 23, 10 AM – 1 PM, All Ages

National Wildlife Visitor Center, Patuxent Research Refuge

10901 Scarlet Tanager Loop, Laurel, MD 20708

The Visitor Center is located on Powder Mill Road between the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and Rt. 197.

All ages; drop-in program—come when you like and leave when you like: no registration required.

When it’s cold outside, we keep warm by putting on coats and mittens, and staying inside. But what do animals do when the weather gets cold? How do they stay warm when it’s freezing? Come find out, through hands-on activities, crafts and games for all ages.

Programs are FREE, however, donations to The Friends of Patuxent are greatly appreciated! Public programs are designed for individuals/families and require advance reservations by calling 301.497.5887. Programs are subject to changes or cancellation due to weather or low participation. Please notify the refuge of any special needs so that you may be accommodated.
