MLK Plogging Challenge
January 15, 2022 - January 22, 2022
Join OMG, DEP and Montgomery Parks in recognizing the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr by participating in our MLK Plogging Challenge!
Plogging means picking up litter while jogging or walking. This is an individual volunteer opportunity allowing safe clean ups during the ongoing pandemic. Register and select where to pick up your kit (gloves & trash bags). Instructions will be emailed once you register.
MLK Plogging Challenge – Kit Pick Up Stations:
- Wednesday 1/12 – 4-5:30 PM – Hillandale Local Park, 10615 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20903
- Saturday 1/15 – 10-12 PM – South Germantown Rec. Park Adventure Playground, 17920 Germantown Park Dr, Germantown, MD 20874
- Saturday 1/15 – 10-12 PM – Meadowside Nature Center (parking lot), 5100 Meadowside Ln, Rockville, MD 20855
- Monday 1/17 – 9-10:30 AM – Wheaton Library, 11701 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20902
