The activity of birding—and how to make sure the popular pastime is accessible to everyone—will be the topic as Freya McGregor will be the featured speaker at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the next presentation of the Montgomery Parks Speaker Series.

Ms. McGregor is a disabled birder and occupational therapist. She will discuss her company, Access Birding, which provides training to help nature-based organizations improve access and inclusion for disabled birders.

Ms. McGregor is a military spouse who co-founded the nonprofit Birdability and now provides consulting and training through her business Access Birding to empower birders and nature organizations to be confident in improving access and inclusion for disabled birders. Her clinical background is in blindness and low-vision services.
