Maryland’s Solar Congress is a time each year for SUN supporters from all over the state to come together, meet like-minded people, and attend a full day of solar education sessions. These sessions include everything from panel discussions to skills trainings to help build our capacity to work together to move toward a more equitable clean energy economy.

This year, due to COVID-19, we will have the same opportunity — online! Instead of one day, we will be holding an entire month of events as a part of the National Solar Congress to connect people across Maryland and the country!  Sessions will cover topics from “solar 101 basics” to “what to do now that you have solar” and “how to advocate for solar policies.”

We are excited to be holding a Maryland focused session:

Community Solar 101 
Tuesday, October 20th | 7:00 – 8:00 PM ET
Community solar offers the benefit of solar to those who can’t — or prefer not to — install solar panels on their homes. In this session, you’ll learn the basics of community solar and how subscribing to a community solar project enables individuals and businesses to receive a credit on their electric bill each month for the solar energy produced by their share.
