Webinar: The Increasing Connection Between Energy Efficiency and Real Estate

How is residential energy efficiency increasingly connected to real estate transactions? Some five million such transactions take place every year in the United States. One example includes a new law that went into effect January 1, 2018 in Portland, OR. The new law requires a U.S. Department of Energy Home Energy Score be included in all residential real estate transactions to rate a home’s  energy efficiency.

On this Better Buildings Residential Network Peer Exchange Call, our speakers will share updates concerning how energy efficiency is increasingly a part of home appraisals and sales. We’ll discuss efforts to connect home performance data to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) as well as how energy efficiency programs are engaging the real estate community.
